Monika Žagar is Professor Emerita of Scandinavian Studies at the University of Minnesota. She is the author of Knut Hamsun: The Dark Side of Literary Brilliance and Ideological Clowns: Dag Solstad Between Modernism and Politics. She lives in Slovenia.
