Ms Priya Carol J

Priya Carol J, M.A., M.Phil., works as Assistant Professor in the Postgraduate and Research Department of English at The American College, TamilNadu, India, where she has been since 2015. Her research investigates effects of transgenerational trauma on children of the Holocaust within the context of Israeli society as depicted in Gila Almagor's works.

In addition to her roles as a professor and language mentor, Priya has had the privilege of engaging in academic endeavors in countries such as Germany, France, Poland, and the Netherlands. She has also taught online courses at Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra, Slovakia, including Modern Indian Poetry in English during the spring semester of 2022/2023 and Indian Literature and Culture during the fall semester of 2023/2024.

She has further enriched her pedagogical toolkit through a faculty development program in Adaptive Design for Learning (ADL). She completed a professional certificate course at the Ateneo de Manila Institute for the Science and Art of Learning and Teaching (SALT Institute) in the Philippines.

Recently, Priya's article titled 'Crafting Jigsaw Tasks to Facilitate Interaction Among Low-Level Learners' has been accepted for publication in the November 2024 issue of The University Grapevine Newsletter, Hosei University, Japan.
