Prof Philippe Beck

Philippe Beck is a contemporary French poet, writer, and philosopher. In 1994 he received his Doctor of Philosophy at l’Ecole des hautes études en sciences sociales in Paris under the supervision of Jacques Derrida. He is currently a Professor at The European Graduate School, in Saas-Fee, Switzerland and a Lecturer in Philosophy at the Centre Atlantique de Philosophie at the University of Nantes since 1995. In 2015, he was received the Grand Prix de Poésie by the Académie française for his poetic œuvre and he was awarded Chevalier de l’ordre des Arts et des Lettres. His most recent publications are Abstraite et plaisantine (2025) and Documentaires (2025).
